ROCKHOUNDING OREGON
MAGAZINE + LAYOUT DESIGN
Rockhounding Oregon was a project that was based on creating a magazine from the ground up based on a local activity, business, or tourist attraction in your local state. One thing that made this project special was that I personally found all of these rocks around Oregon throughout the past few years. This project also highlights photography as I self shot all of the photos seen. Lastly, the information was also all written and researched by myself. I wanted to focus on rockhounding not only because it is a hobby I enjoy, but also figured that it would be a great way to highlight the rocks that I have found within Oregon’s borders, while also informing people of the states beauty. The magazine highlights my use of bold typography and layout design to create an engaging, yet aesthetic informational resource that people can enjoy.
